If you love the thought of helping and supporting small businesses, and making a difference to the lives of their owners, this is the role for you! Your focus will be the proactive management of our borrower portfolio – supporting borrowers in managing their loan, focusing on those who present additional risk to LendingCrowd, managing borrower in-life events and reviews, and ensuring that communications strike a balance between treating customers fairly and improving the health of the LendingCrowd portfolio. As our loan book grows, so will your opportunities.
About the role
Reporting to our Loan Servicing Manager, you’ll be responsible for:

- Proactively managing borrower accounts via alert monitoring systems
- Completing borrower reviews on an annual basis, or as part of the in-life events process
- Managing borrower communications to assist with the collection of overdue repayments
- Managing and conducting outbound communication campaigns to meet operational goals
- Dealing with borrower complaints professionally as the first point of contact
- Proactively liaising with internal departments, for example Sales and Credit & Finance
- Ensuring company records are kept up to date, in line with LendingCrowd’s contractual and regulatory obligations
- Participating in the delivery of management information for customer-related activities
About you
In terms of knowledge, skills and experience, we would expect you to have:
- A minimum of one year’s experience in a financial services environment
- Experience of liaising with small and medium-sized businesses in a call or contact centre environment
- Confidence to deal with a range of borrower queries via both telephone and email channels
- The drive to provide quality output as part of a high-performing team within a volume lending environment
- The ability to meet deadlines and support colleagues in the Servicing team to support our borrowers
- Confidence to liaise with borrowers at different levels
It would also be beneficial if you have a working knowledge of insolvency in law in both England & Wales and Scotland, and experience of:
- Completing and analysing credit reference agency reports for SME borrowers and business owners
- Conducting and completing Anti-Money Laundering and Know Your Customer checks on SME borrowers
